Joseph R. McCauley

81, of Centennial. Preceded in death by wife Noreen and son Joseph, Jr. and Michael. Father of Bridget Witsell and grandfather of 5. Consistently cantankerous, frequently curmudgeonly, often grouchy, yet ALWAYS a loving and devoted husband, father and friend. Joe's lively and gregarious personality is what attracted many people to him. A great salesman, he never had a problem starting a conversation with anyone. He loved all jokes and thoroughly enjoyed making people laugh. Passionate about all things Notre Dame, he devoted countless hours of his time to the ND Club of Denver. Although he will be greatly missed, he undoubtedly is dancing with his favorite partner, Noreen, who preceded him in death almost two years ago. Theirs was a true love story; and without a doubt a grand reunion with his sons, Joey and Mike. You are loved and celebrated Dad! A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 1060 St. Francis Way, Denver, Colorado 80204 at Auraria Campus.
