Joseph Aaron Metcalf

Joseph Aaron Metcalf, 79, of Denver, was born in Ridgely, Missouri on September 17, 1936. He was raised in Englewood and Limon, Colorado. He graduated from Limon High School in 1955 and married Rose Mary Bosse in 1960. Joe then served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963 while stationed in Hawaii. Joe worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation for 38 Years. He loved camping and fishing, and hanging out with his family and friends. After retirement, he and Rosie traveled extensively. No one could tell a joke like Joe. He loved to make people laugh. Joe is survived by his wife of 55 Years, Rose, daughter Katie (Jon) Harper, son Andy (Melody) Metcalf, and six grandchildren: Quinton, Aronne, Ciara, Bailey, Lilliana, and Evin. He is also survived by one sister, Della Perlenfein and two brothers, Paul Metcalf and Sherman Metcalf, sisters-in-law Carrie Mae Metcalf and Annie Konruff, along with numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 10 O'Clock in the Morning at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11 O'Clock in the Morning at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. Interment will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Twelve-thirty in the Afternoon at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
