Joseph W. Reynolds

March 25, 1949 — April 14, 2017

Joe, 68, passed away on April 14 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was at home with Susie Reynolds, his wife of 27 years, by his side. Joe, the youngest of six children, was born to Everett and Ruth Reynolds on a farm near Amity, MO. He attended the University of Missouri where he earned a degree in accounting. Upon graduation he became a CPA and worked for a large accounting firm before moving to Denver in the early 70's where he worked in the home building industry. In the mid 80's he joined RE/MAX International and was a corporate officer until his retirement in 2008. Joe and Susie loved spending time in the Colorado mountains hiking, skiing, and camping and eventually bought a home in the Vail valley. They also enjoyed golf and travel together and time with family and friends. He was a loyal supporter of the Colorado football program and loved going to the games. Joe is survived by siblings JoAnn Russell, Houston, TX; Jim Reynolds (Jo) King City, MO; Janice Meek (Terry), Linton, IN; Jane Fore (Dave), Columbia, MO; Karla Reynolds, Gainesville, FL; Kim Gauntlett, Santa Rosa, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Reynolds. Joe was generous, caring and loved by many people. He will be missed. A celebration of life followed by a reception will be held on Sunday, May 7 at 3:00 at the Sanctuary Golf Course, 7549 Daniels Park Road, Sedalia, CO 80135. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
