Joseph was born in Watervale Butte, Colorado to Raymond and Lucy Weaver.
Joe met Lillian R Lopez while attending Annunciation Catholic High School. After his service to the United States in the US Army Joe and Lillian were married on Nov 7, 1959. They were married for over 56 years when Lillian passed in 2015.
Joe passed away peacefully at his home in Lakewood, Colorado, where he was cared for by his dear niece Sandra, and family.
He is survived by his kids: Lawrence Weaver, RaeAnn (Mike) Carlson, Steve (Bobbi) Weaver, Kathleen (Lenny) Reinhard, and Mark Weaver.
Grandchildren: Stephanie, Brenda, Jennifer, Steven, Nicole, Dylan, Tawny, Chace, Valentina, and Cameron.
Great Grandchildren: Emilia, Maryn, Holly, Kaysen, and Kylie.
Joe is survived by siblings: Julie, Ron, Marie, David, and Jim. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Joe built their home in Lakewood for the family in the early 70’s. Then built a mountain home in 2000 for a weekend home in Grand County..
He was known as “THE JACK OF ALL TRADES!!!” So when you needed something repaired you called him!!!!
He was a successful business owner of a Forklift repair shop for over 20 years. He sold the business in 2008, then retired for 12 years. He cared for Lillian the first years of retirement as she was ill. They enjoyed going to the mountains Skiing, Boating and weekends at the mountain home.
After Lillian passed away, the rest of the family kept him busy going to Las Vegas, Black Hawk, and the weekend mountain home.
He was a avid sports fan, loved the Denver Broncos (as long time season ticket holder), Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avs, and the Colorado Rockies.

A Rosary will be held Monday September 21, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Horan & McConaty, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado 80227. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W. Ohio Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80219. Following the Mass Joseph will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery. The family is inviting guests to join them for a reception following the Committal at their family residence, more detail will be given at cemetery.
