Josephine Hanson ( Josie ) born September 8th 1939 in Frederick Colorado to Agapito and Isabel Pacheco. She was one of 12 children having 4 brothers and 7 sisters. (Frank, Max, Tony Filbert) ( Della, Bea, Arlene, Mary, Yolanda, Precila, and Sandy). She was preceded in death by her parents Agapito and Isabel Pacheco, brothers Frank, Max, Tony Filbert and 3 sisters Della, Bea, and Mary.
Josie moved to Denver from Frederick Colorado at the age of 14, where she attended Horace Mann Jr High school where she was a baton twirler for the marching band. In 9th grade she decided to go to work.
Josie was a meat packer That worked diligently for over 30 years working for Cudahy packing and Safeway. Known for her strong work ethic, she not only provided for her Children but also inspired them with her unwavering commitment to hard work and determination.
Josie, a devoted mother, raised her children with love and care, installing in them the values of compassion and generosity.
Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, she cherished spending time with them sharing stories and creating lasting memories.
Josie had a passion for day trips to Blackhawk, with her family to enjoy the excitement of gambling.
Josie passed away peacefully on March 13 2025
Josie will be remembered as an immensely thoughtful person always ready to offer help to those in need, and her ability to bring people together were just a few qualities that made her beloved by all who knew her.
Josie is survived by her 4 sisters, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her love, strength, left hook and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey.
