Jo Ann grew up in Denver in the historic Crestmoor neighborhood. Eleven Ivy Lane was one of the first houses built in the area and was the place to be and feel welcome for numerous parties and events.
Jo Ann had amazing skills in drawing, painting, pastels, and colored pencils. Her interest in architecture inspired her to produce images of many famous landmarks and interesting houses. She also had a business in providing pet portraits for many patrons. She was also gifted in lettering and handwriting which came in handy for creating flyers, posters, and other reproduced art for groups she participated in such as the Sacred Heart Alumni, Junior League, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, All Parochial Youth Band, and many others.
Jo Ann studied art and foreign language at Lone Mountain College in San Francisco and Colorado University in Boulder. Her other interests included gardening, bowling leagues, bridge groups, puzzles, trivia games, and crafts. She had a very large collection of jazz records which always filled the house with enjoyable music. She also enjoyed sports and was well-versed about who played on the Rockies, Broncos, and even college teams.
Jo Ann had a charm and grace about her as well as a sense of humor and will truly be missed by her family and friends including recent friends sheâs made at the senior living center where she resided.
