Josephine R. ''JJ"" Johanningmeier, RN NP

Josephine R. Johanningmeier (""JJ"") the daughter of Edward Martin Burnett and Ida Gertrude Lentz was born in DeWitt, Iowa on July 1st, 1923. On June 10th, 1946 she married William Leo Johanningmeier in Dewitt, Iowa. JJ is survived by her brother Donald Burnett (Retired Lt. Col) and children: Barbara J. Timmermeyer (Denver, CO ), William J. Johanningmeier (Ft. Collins, CO), Dennis J. Johanningmeier(Denver, CO) and Lisa M. Tucker (Chandler, AZ) and son-in-law Bill Timmermeyer, daughter-in-law Deborah Johanningmeier, son-in-law Craig Tucker; her loving grandchildren: Nicole Graham, Ryan Johanningmeier, Jill Johanningmeier, Tia Kaczmarski, Janel Baily, Bre Denning, Hanna Tucker, Casey Tucker, Luke Tucker, Anna Marie Tucker and great grandchildren: Devon Johanningmeier, Ava Kaczmarski, Jayden Baily and Trenton Baily. JJ was proud member of the first graduating class of the University of Colorado Nurse Practitioner program and received her R. N. designation in Iowa in 1945. She served on the Governor's Committee to draft the Colorado state statues on Nurse Practitioner regulations and was a Licensed Skilled Nursing Administrator. JJ past peacefully and joined her deceased husband William Leo Johanningmeier (""Bill"") December 7, 2012 at approximately 11:45AM, who she met in Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa and were married six-months later in Dewitt, Iowa. JJ was in-charge until the very end when she handed the keys over to Our Father in Heaven. Her Loving Family A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street in Centennial, Colorado 80112. A Committal Service will follow at 2:15pm at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard in Denver, Colorado 80235.
