Joseph "Jack" D Clark was born January 20,1927, in Fairbury, Nebraska, and took his last breath on December 11, 2021 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He is preceded in death by Cleo, his loving wife of 70 years and two grandchildren. He is survived by three married sons and their wives; Michael (Cecilia), Gregory (Kathy) and Timothy (Iris) along with three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jack graduated from Hastings High School in 1945 Hastings, Nebraska.
He was drafted into the United States Army and completed basic training at Fort Hood, Texas. He served at the 98th General Hospital in Munich, Germany in the Army Medical Corps where he was trained as an X-ray technician.
Jack received commendations for Marksman M-1 Rifle Award, WWII Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal (Germany)
He attended Hastings College in Nebraska and graduated in1952 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.
In August,1950 he and Cleo became husband and wife. In 1953 he and Cleo, along with their son Michael moved to Colorado where he spent a lifetime career in Human Resource Management and retired from Mountain States Employers Council in January of 1992.
Jack loved the outdoors and RV'ing. Having lived in Nebraska for many years he would return often to attend various events.
During his lifetime he always tried to brighten the lives of others even though it might have been nothing more than just engaging them in conversation.
One of his favorite quotations was, "I look at life as gift from God. Now that he wants back, I have no reason to complain".
