Joy Grothjan

Joy Grothjan, 69, of Arvada passed away on June 21, 2020 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born on January 1, 1951 on Long Island, New York she was the daughter of Harry James and Agnes (McDowell) Busk. Joy married Steve Grothjan on January 15, 1988, and together they shared 32 years of marriage.

A near-lifelong member of Actors' Equity Association, Joy worked as a professional performing artist for decades, and as an educator for 20 years in the Standardized Patient Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

In addition to her husband, Steve, she is survived by her siblings: Jody Mercurio, Harry Jeff Busk, Janice Shaulov and Jennifer Rinaldi, and her nieces and nephews: Dina, Rachel, Anthony, David, Michael, Matthew, Adi, and Danielle.

A memorial service to honor Joy will be held at a later date.
