Joyce M. Crane, 83, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on May 1, 2020. She was born to Francis and Virginia Maillet on September 14, 1936 in Matamoras, Pennsylvania.
Joyce graduated from Matamoras High School, in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. She met, and married James R. Crane, Sr., and was a devoted wife. She soon became a devoted mother as well, and eventually a doting grandmother.
Joyce was a firecracker! The kind of woman who couldnât be idle for long, she was never on the sidelines of life. If you were fortunate enough to meet Joyce out and about, you would soon have a new friend â she was a woman who met few strangers. Joyce brought laughter wherever she went, was quick to forgive, and full of vitality. She loved the full life that she lived, and shared that love with her family. She was the kind of woman who found pleasure in the changing of seasons, knitting a blanket for a new baby, a good book, or a beloved classic film. Joyce also enjoyed cross-words, browsing at craft stores, and watching the Colorado Avalanche play hockey. No one could clean house, or cook a meal the way Joyce could, and she might let you know as much, too!
Joyce is survived by her children, Sherry (Beate), Jim, and Robert (Melody); grandchildren, Rachel; Jim III (Emily), Brandi (Chris), Robert Jr.; great grandchildren, Edward, Preston, Mason, Joyce, Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Virginia, and her husband, James.
Joyce was beloved by her family, and will be forever remembered and missed by those who knew her.
