Joyce Davis

Joyce Marie Davis, 87, entered into eternal life on September 27, 2020 after a courageous battle with Cerebral Atherosclerosis.

Joyce was born on March 5, 1933 in Denver, Colorado where she lived the majority of her life. During the last 15 years Joyce resided in Lakewood, Colorado. Joyce worked at the Denver Post where worked on walk-in ad desk and also wrote many ads for the Post. While working the ad desk she came in contact with numerous members of Hollywood and the Denver Society even meeting Rock Hudson. After raising her family, she also worked at C.A Norgrens and was a lifelong Democrat.

Joyce’s survivors include her brothers Edward, Denny (New Raymer, Colorado), sister-in-law Colleen Larsen (Denver, Colorado). Joyce’s children include Julie Kleopfer (Roy), Lakewood, Colorado, Katherine Davis of Englewood, Colorado, Pam Davis (Chuck Lahe), Lakewood, Colorado, Bob Davis, Lakewood, Colorado along with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert R. Davis along with brothers Bertrand Larsen and Norm Larsen.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday October 6, 2020 10:00am at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service located at 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado 80122. Following visitation her service will begin at 11:00am. Following the service Joyce will enter her final resting place at 1:00pm at Fairmount Cemetery 430 South Quebec Street, Denver, Colorado 80231. The graveside service is open to the public.
