Joyce Caroline Gantner

Joyce Caroline Gantner (79) passed away peacefully and with dignity in her home in Roxborough Park, Colorado. Due to her faith, the power of prayer, and her loving nurturing character to others, she spent the last months of her life in remarkable spirits with a great mental attitude. During this time she enjoyed many days of good physical and mental health as she courageously battled pancreatic cancer. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Lawrence Gantner; son John Westerberg (Linda); daughter Sheri Reschly (Mike) - grandson Justin Bowlin, granddaughter Andrea Bowlin; daughter Pam Allendorf (Martin Beck) - grandson Charles Allendorf (Amy) and great granddaughter Hailey Allendorf, grandson Max Allendorf; stepson Gary Gantner (Cheryl); stepson Eric Gantner (Madilane) - grandson Eric Gantner and granddaughter Sarai Gantner; sister-in-law Linda Wherry (Jim); other cousins, nieces and nephews. Joyce graduated high school and earned college credits in accounting and management. She worked and excelled in positions in data processing, supervision, and management at various jobs in Denver, Chicago, Kansas City and Easley, SC. Joyce also embraced the friends, culture, and lifestyle of these places she lived and worked along with her husband. Joyce enjoyed homemaking, decorating, camping, RVing, boating, fishing and all outdoor activities. She loved to dance and was an excellent dance partner. Joyce along with her husband, Larry, spent 14 years wintering in Tucson, AZ where she furthered her skills in painting, pottery, sewing, and other crafts. With all of these great attributes, her greatest achievements were being a loving spouse, mother, grandmother and friend. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 10:30am at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3103 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Co. 80227.
