Joyce E. Schneider

Joyce E. Schneider, 77, of Centennial, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2017 with her family by her side. Born on November 26, 1939 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska she was the daughter of Harry and Kathryn Schneider. Joyce worked as a PE teacher after graduating from the University of Nebraska Wesleyan. She later went on to work in Procurement for Honeywell, a bank teller, an HR Generalist for Air Methods, and a makeup artist at Merle Norman. She enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing, playing Rummikub with her friends, going to Cirque du Soleil and Les Miserables every year with her daughter, and her monthly “classmate” lunches. She will be remembered for her life-long friendships, strength, wit, and charm. She loved fiercely and her bright light touched everyone she knew. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Rori L. Christenson of Denver; her brother Duane Schneider of Lakewood, and many beloved cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 2PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014.
