Juanita (Nita) Watson Horner was born in Denver in 1933 to Harold and Virginia Watson.
She attended East High School and the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she was a member of the Kappa Kapp Gamma Sorority.
She married Jack M. Horner in 1955. She worked in the fashion industry and was an active volunteer in numerous charitable organizations including the Junior League of Denver, the Denver of Art Museum, and Historic Georgetown.
Nita led a full life and active life enjoying friends and family. Nita and Jack lived many years in the mountains, where they loved biking, hiking, camping and skiing. They traveled all over the world and spent several months of the year at their condo in Mexico.
Nita is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Jamie) Pobrislo; son, Randy (Julia) Horner; three granddaughters, Brittany Horner, Stephany Leary and Courtney Pasque; three great-granddaughters, and 1 great-grandson.
A private family service will be held.
