Unconditional love. Selfless to a fault. Stubborn but steadfast. Best friends with her mother. The world to her son. Judith Lynn MacKillip Harding left us too soon, leaving a love and generosity forever imprinted upon the hearts of family and friends.
Born on Sept. 5th, 1954 to Melvin and Phyllis MacKillip, she was the apple of her parents' eye. A bonafide daddy's girl and her mother's ""little doll,"" she arrived into the world ""pink and golden."" The sparkle in her eye and the smile on her face followed Judy through the years, matched only by her sense of fun and adventure, and her artistic pursuits. Graduating with a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she was an exceptional jewelry-maker. Her gifts as an artist continually evolved as she worked her magic quilting, knitting, crocheting â always in the midst of multiple projects, that was her MO. Judy was also employed in a variety of fields, always bringing her strong work ethic and her value for exceptional customer service.
What mattered most to Judy, however, was her lifelong love and loyalty to her family. Married to Alan Harding in 1976, they were blessed with Matthew Ryan in 1983, whom Judy would raise as a single mom from 1988 onwards. It was her turn to be smitten as a loving and attentive mother who invested everything she had in Matt's upbringing. But make no mistake â she wasn't just the hardworking and devoted mom, she was the ""cool"" mom. Their's was the ""hangout house"", and she was a favorite mom amongst Matt's friends. Little wonder, given her insatiable appetite for fun. Judy was young at heart, open, non-judgmental, and always game for a good time. Matt was her pride and joy, and it was in the role of mom that she shone as brightly as the noonday sun.
Judy is survived by her son Matthew Harding and her daughter-in-law Jessica Harding, her mother Phyllis MacKillip, her brother Mike MacKillip and sister-in-law Fauna MacKillip, her nieces Melissa Paniagua, Meriah MacKillip, her nephew Ben MacKillip, her great-niece Josefina Paniagua and her great-nephew Jason Paniagua.
""I love you"" were the words most often spoken by Judy when she was alive, and those are the words in the hearts of her loved ones as they forever cherish her memory.
