We are sad to announce the passing of Judith Ann Marrin on July 25, 2022. She went very peacefully surrounded by her family, just as she would have wanted. Judy fought a long, hard battle with Alzheimer’s, but never forgot her loving family and taught us grace and kindness until the very end.
Judy was born on 11/11/1942 in Attleboro, Massachusetts to Walter and Josephine Leach. She earned her Associates degree from Fisher Junior College in Boston, MA. After raising their children, Judy worked for 25+years in the health care industry and specialized in comfort care as a patient liaison for Panorama Orthopedic clinic at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Judy met her adoring husband Bill in 1962 at a Military Ball where Bill was serving in the Navy. After 3 dates, Bill was stationed overseas. The distance did not deter them as they wrote letters to each other every day for 18 months. When Bill returned, he proposed and they were married in 1964, celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary earlier this year. They showed us all what true love looks like.
Judy’s main interest in life was her family. Everything she did and worked towards was for her family which she loved very much. Family parties were her specialty and she loved having and giving them. Anytime she could gather her family together, she was at her happiest.
Judy is survived by her husband Bill, their four children – son Lance, daughter-in-law Lissette and granddaughters Isabella and Natalia; daughter Deidre, son-in-law Jim and grandson Sean and granddaughter Ella; son Sean, daughter-in-law Erinn and granddaughters Bronwyn and Rowan; and daughter Shannon, son-in-law Chris and granddaughter Kiernan and grandson Kellen.
We will miss everything about our sweet Judy, amazing Mom and loving Nana. She brought joy and celebration to every day and taught us the importance of a strong faith, a supportive family, and true friendship.
The funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 8 at 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2626 E. 7th Avenue Parkway, Denver CO 80206.
