Judith Miller

February 28, 1944 — September 7, 2022

Golden, Colorado

Judith “Judy” Ann Miller (Sherman-Tagart) peacefully passed away the evening of Sept.7, 2022 at Lifecare of Westminster, CO. Judy was born in Denver, CO and always came ‘home’ after traveling the world with her father, who was career Army, and her mother. They had many adventures and called themselves the 3 musketeers. Judy became an accomplished homemaker and best of all an award-winning cook following in the footsteps of her mom and dad, who were, themselves, excellent cooks. Judy married her childhood sweetheart; Richard “Dick” Sherman Sr. of Colorado, and they had 7 wonderful children together. Judy stayed busy with numerous activities with her kids such as Boy-scouts, Girl-scouts, Brownies, swimming lessons, ballerina dance classes, gymnastic lessons, piano lessons, dog shows, bowling lessons, VFW parades for Poppy Queen, Huckleberry Finn and Becky Thatcher contests and Westernaires. Also to be appreciated, the number of amazing things she created.... Halloween costumes, Becky Thatcher and Huck Finn outfits, and dress-up clothes, all hand sewn with love. Homemade Christmas decorations, school science projects and so much more. As a family, they enjoyed camping and fishing in Colorado’s beautiful mountains  Judy was then married to Barry Tagart of Golden, Colorado and began a new series of adventures including 1840s Mountain Man reenacting, more camping and raising their only children, the dogs. Judy also took much pride in becoming a Colorado Master Hunter Education Instructor. Judy was always willing and ready to help anyone in need. In her last months, one of the things they remember about her at Lifecare was how she was always helping including assisting other residents with their BINGO and other games. She was always happy when someone she was helping would get BINGO! Throughout her life, Judy also had a great love of all of God’s animals and was always helping them in any way she was able. Judy is proceeded in passing by her father Ruben Miller, mother Lucy Miller and one son, Ronald Robert Sherman. Remaining to cherish Judy’s memory are her former husband Richard and present husband Barry. Next, her beloved children; Richard Jr “RJ” Sherman, Donna Sherman, Stephen Sherman (Patricia), Dianne Boaglio (Mark), Scott Sherman (Shana), Katherine “Kat” Staresinic (Nick), her four grandchildren; Tyler Sherman (Linsey), Noelle Lamb (Nate), and Chad Sherman, Amanda Sherman. Also, two great-grandchildren; Nevaeh Eileen Lynn Lamb and Arwin Wout Sherman.

In leu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her name to Children's Hospital.  Judy didn't care for flowers, she thought it sad that they too soon withered and died.
