Judith D. Woodward

Judith (Judy) D. Woodward, 79 passed away at home on October 9 after a long battle with sarcoma cancer.

Judy was born on December 24, 1939 in Malvern, Iowa. Her family moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1943, where she grew up and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She always wanted to be a secretary and worked in this role for a few years until she had children and became a full time home-maker. In 1978 she returned to work as a receptionist at VALIC, where she eventually promoted to Office Manager. After 20+ years Judy left VALIC and continued working for Raymond James and Newbridge Financial until she retired. She also volunteered at Littleton Adventist Hospital, where she worked every Friday for another 15 years.

In her free time, Judy spent as much time as her schedule would allow attending her 3 grandchildren's events. She enjoyed going to lunch and plays with her work and hospital friends, playing Mexican train, shopping for antiques and collectible plates, driving to Iowa twice a year to visit her sister and family and her daily visits to see Stacey's dog, Jax. She enjoyed making big Sunday meals for her family and wrapping presents and decorating her house for the holidays.

Judy is survived by her children Steve and Stacey, daughter-in-law Shirley, grandchildren Danielle, Elizabeth, Devon and her sister Marilyn. Judy is preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents Dale and Bonnie.

A memorial service will be held on November 2, 2019 10:00 AM at Littleton United Methodist Church 5894 South Datura Street, Littleton, Colorado 80120. The family invites everyone to join them for a reception immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers please donate in Judy’s honor to Littleton United Methodist Church. However, if you wish to send flowers please have those delivered to Littleton United Methodist Church on Friday November 1, 2019 by 2:00 PM.
