Surrounded by her three loving children, passed into eternal life on Sunday September 12, 2010. Born on September 20, 1928 in Okmulgee, OK. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Education and then pursued graduate studies in Mexico City. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, George, who she met on a skiing trip with the Midland, Texas Ski Club. Julene enjoyed travel and politics and was instrumental in starting a fundamental school. Her friends described her as gracious and she loved animals of all types. She is survived by her children Gary Farmar (Sarah) of Morrison, CO., Patricia Phillips (Larry) of Santa Barbara, CA and Michael Farmar (Jill) of Dallas, TX. Her cherished grandchildren include Geoffrey, Byron, Logan, Baron and Jackson Farmar. She is also survived by her brother David Smith of Alameda, CA. Services will be held Monday, September 20 at 10:00 am at St. Mary' s Anglican Catholic Church, 2290 S. Clayton, Denver. Reception at St. Mary's Parish Hall immediately following service.
