Julie Howard

Julie Ann Howard died peacefully in her sleep at home in Golden, Colorado on January 10, 2022. She fought off the disease ALS as long as her body could while enduring a relentless struggle. She was born on July 17, 1957 to Charles and Agnes Howard in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She graduated from Bemidji State University in 1979 and later began a successful career as a Pharmaceutical rep for Bristol Myers Squibb winning several awards. She grew up in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, but her love of travel led her to many places around the world and live at times in Anchorage, Alaska, Porland, Oregon, Maui, Hawaii, and Golden, Colorado. Her love and passion for animals led her to own several beloved dogs and foster numerous kittens while at home after retirement. Active throughout her life, she was an avid tennis player,  enjoyed scuba and snorkeling, hiking, and skiing. Known for her infectious laughter and generous heart, she will be missed by her many friends and family. She is survived by her life partner Mitchel (Buzz) Roberts and brother Nick Howard, his wife Jamie, and their children Alexa, Lucia, Nate and Russell. A celebration of life will be held at her home in Golden, Colorado at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rocky Mountain ALS chapter.
