Julie N. McDermott

Julie N. McDermott was born in Leadville, Colorado on May 2, 1930 to John Bernard and Florence Dodge Shannahan. She passed away peacefully on June 14, 2012 in Westminster, Colorado with her daughter's family by her side. Preceded in death by her husband, Don; son, Donald, Jr.; sisters, Nellie Evans Helms and Alta Evans Good; brothers, Steven Remine, Warren Remine and Jerry Leo Shannahan. Survived by her daughter, Florence Rose (Arnold F.) Liscano of Westminster, Colorado; sons, David L. McDermott, John K. McDermott of Denver, Colorado and Steven J. Mangan of California; brother, Jess Shannahan of New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. Julie was an avid gardener, genealogist and loved to paint. She owned two craft shops in Aurora and Leadville, Colorado. Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 3-7pm followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton.
