Julie was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin and moved to Denver at 3 weeks of age. She grew up in the Athmar Park area of Denver, attending St. Rose of Lima school, Rishel Junior High and South High school. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in Nursing in 1972. Julie married Dennis M. O'Hanlon on August 19, 1972 and they lived in Lakewood for most of their married life. Julie worked for the Lakewood family Clinic (which later became a New West Physicians clinic) for 37 years. She was happy to be in a family clinic where she knew the patients and their families, and she worked for doctors whom she loved. The most important thing in Julie's life was family. She and Dennis hosted Saturday night dinners for years, and that's where people came to announce their big events. Girlfriends and boyfriends were introduced, future spouses, new babies, and close friends. All were warmly welcomed and offered the warm embrace of the O'Hanlon home. She made the best brownies, chicken mexican, and cheesy potatoes. Julie loved family vacations, and especially if they were at some beach. The ten of them (Steven and Katie and their families) went to Hawaii, Mexico, and Florida and enjoyed playing in the sunshine. Julie's last vacation, last summer was in Broomfield where the family went for a weekend and pretended they were in Florida. That was a special time for all. Julie loved to read and was fond of several series by JDRobb, Patricia Cornwell, and Nora Roberts. Dennis made sure that she always had something to read. Her favorite music was Beach Boys and the Beatles. She loved happy sounds, happy movies, happy music, and happy people! Whether she was sitting in her hot tub, wading into the water, or sitting in a duck blind with her dad, she was definitely a water baby. Julie was the first one to jump up and say ""let's go to Water world!"", or ""let's go to the North Pole to see Santa"" or Let's go......""almost anywhere. She was a great listener, a smart advisor and a selfless person who gave everyone what they needed and never asked for or even expected anything in return. She was the light of our lives and we will honor her every day by being happy, looking out for others, and loving our families.
