Julie Ann Trujillo, age 55, died in Lakewood, Colorado on Friday, May 27th, after a long battle with cancer. Born September 2nd, 1966 in Boulder, CO, she lived in Colorado most of her life and loved the mountains. Julie was a natural caregiver and pursued a nursing career after her two children graduated from high school. She began playing the piano and singing at church at the age of 12 and continued to lead music groups at church until her death. Julie’s music groups played Easter and Christmas services at Mother Cabrini Shrine and her all-women band played an annual Christian Women’s Retreat. Julie is survived by her loving husband Greg, her two obnoxious children Andrew and Rebecca, and her darling grandson, Dillon. Julie is also survived by her sisters Jane (Marlin), Becky (Larry), Bobby (Jean), and Amy and her brother Tom (Heather). Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary Ellen Trujillo, her nephew James Hults, her great uncles Bill and Tom Luckey, and her beloved grandmother Florence Luckey.
Services will be held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Westminster, CO. There will be a vigil and prayer service held on Thursday, June 2nd at 6:30 pm and a funeral Mass on Friday, June 3rd at 10:30 am.
