June Katherine Appelgren

June Katherine Wenner Appelgren, passed away at home on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the age of 84. She is the cherished daughter of the late William and Katherine Wenner; beloved wife of the late Edward Appelgren; loving mother of Kathy Lynn Mar, the late Debra Jean Torbet, Melisa Judith Montoya, Diana Kay Forsyth, Edward George Appelgren, Jr., Sharon Marie McGinnis and the late Barbara June Carr. June is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, one distant aunt and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Preceded in death by grandchildren, Michael Kenneth Mar and Josiah Alexander Appelgren. June was born on or about, October 7, 1927 and was adopted by the Wenner's at age 8. She was raised working in the family bakery in Casper, Wyoming until her high school graduation. She received a scholarship to Julliard and worked as a bookkeeper in a bank in Denver, Colorado. She raised many children and mothered many others, believing there was always room in the pot for one more potato and a space on the floor for one more pillow. She spent the last years of her life enjoying a peaceful and quiet life on her farm in the Middle of Nowhere, Nebraska. Memorial Mass and Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:30 AM, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado. Family, friends and neighbors are also invited to a Memorial Mass and Luncheon on November 12, 2011 at 10:30 AM, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1065 Second Street, Chappell, Nebraska.
