June Haas

Dr. V. June Haas was born in Elbert County, CO to Fred and Ethel Keehn Haas. She grew up in Elizabeth and following high school graduation, she attended the University of Denver, graduating in 1948. She was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. June received her Master and Doctorate Degrees from the University of Northern Colorado. During her many successful years with the Denver Public Schools, she was an Elementary Curriculum Coordinator, Supervisor of the substitute Teachers' Office and Principal of the Ellsworth, Oakland and Cory Elementary Schools. In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her infant sister, Doris & her brother Gene Haas. She is survived by her brother Dale (DeLores) Haas of Kiowa, her sister-in-law Josephine Haas of Lakewood, eight nieces and nephews & Dr. Joy Wilson, her long time companion. At June's request there will be no service. Interment in the Elizabeth Cemetery will be private. Many thanks for the loving care given by Emeritus at Roslyn and SunCrest Hospice.
