June Lois Pohs

June L. Pohs was born on March 13, 1933 in Sheldon, North Dakota and entered into the arms of the Lord on September 19, 2011 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. To describe June in one word, LOVE may be the first that comes to mind: love for her family, friends, faith, patients and life. June served her community with compassion as a registered nurse by profession for many years all while caring for and raising her family. June and Frank enjoyed doing activities together such as traveling. Loving wife of Frank J. Pohs, for 51 years; beloved mother of Ann Pohs, Michael (Eileen) Pohs, and Kathleen (Greg) Morroni; dedicated sister of Eloise Pohs and Jesse Penberthy; loving grandmother of Christopher, Katie, Lauren, Patrick, and Megan Pohs, and Mary Joy Morroni. She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Alice Penberthy; brother-in-law Henry Pohs; and nephew Jerome Penberthy. Viewing will be on Monday, September 26, 2011, beginning at Four O'Clock in the Afternoon until Eight O'Clock in the Evening at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Nine-thirty in the Morning followed by Funeral Mass at Ten O'Clock in the Morning, both at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3900 Pierce Street, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. Interment will follow at Eleven-thirty in the Morning at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. Reception for greeting and sharing of memories follows the burial at Spirit of Christ Catholic Parish Hall, 7400 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado 80003.
