Kaitlin Hooks, 25, passed away suddenly in her home in Aurora, Colorado. Her family is shocked and deeply saddened by her loss.
Kaitlin was born on September 11, 1996 to her mother Sabrina Hooks in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from Denver Online High School she dreamed of pursuing a career in nursing or education. She worked as a camp counselor at Easter Seals and an Assistant Teacher at Creative Options.
She loved reading and crafting. A voracious reader from a young age she would read multiple books at a time from different genres to satisfy her passion for learning. She was bright and kind.
Kaitlin rode in the Courage Classic to raise money for Children’s Hospital for years. She loved being in the mountains training and riding with her friends and teammates. As a child she participated in equine therapy where she made lifelong friends and cemented her love for animals.
Kaitlin met her fiancée Nate in 2017. They enjoyed going to concerts, watching movies and spending time with their pets.
Anyone who knew Kaitlin knew that they were loved. She had an immense passion for children and the rights of the disabled. Kaitlin was brave, strong, sensitive and kind. She loved fiercely; especially her family, her pets and her friends. She will be missed more than words can say.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Jerry Hooks and survived by her mother, Sabrina Hooks, grandmother, Lori(s) Hooks, many cousins, friends and beloved pets.
