Kalomera L. Keller

Kalomera Keller passed away on July 19, 2018 in Greenwood Village, CO. Born on May 5, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Christos and Zoe Lebesis, wife of Eldon Keller and mother to their son Chris Keller.

She grew up in her formative years in Greece, living in Pireas, Athens, as well as on the island of Spetses. Living through World War II and the German Occupation of Greece, she moved back to Pittsburgh around the age of 16 along with her Mother, Father, and Sister Marina (all of blessed memory). She studied art and fashion design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and later worked for several years at Westinghouse in their research library. She remembers this time in her career fondly, along with her meeting Eldon there and later marrying him in 1961.

Upon raising Chris through high school and university, and following the deaths of her father and mother, she and Eldon moved to Aiken, South Carolina in 1992. They lived there happily for 26 years up to and through retirement until June of this year when they moved to Denver to be closer to Chris, his wife Amy and their daughter Katie.

Kalomera was a member of the Greek Orthodox Christian faith along with her family. She is survived by her husband Eldon and son Chris and family.

The viewing will be held at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church (5555 S Yosemite St, Greenwood Village, CO 80111) on Sunday July 22nd at 5:00pm, followed by the Trisagion (Memorial Service) at 6:00pm. All are invited to attend the reception and coffee hour to follow.

Attendance is also welcomed at the Funeral service on Monday July 23rd at 10:00am, also at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church. The Burial will follow at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery at 12:00pm (6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121).
