Karen B. Malacky

Karen B. Malacky, 72, of Aurora, CO passed away October 23, 2015. She was born on November 23, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to William & Virginia (Wolf) Michel. In her teenage years, she met the love of her life at a Halloween party, her husband of 55 years, Gerald Malacky. Karen & Jerry made several local and long distance trips where they enjoyed gambling. She will be remembered for her great strength and sense of humor, as well as her cooking, crafting and the love she had for her family. Karen will be greatly missed by her husband; 4 children, Dawn (David) Bouchard, Bill Malacky, Nancy Bruin & Jennifer Malacky; 9 grandchildren, Brittney (Everette) Baker, Breanna & Bethany Bruin, Brandon & Megan (Jacob) Malacky, Brian (Meghan) & Elizabeth Malecki, Matthew Bouchard and Lindsay (Brian) Priest; 8 great grandchildren, Camo, Scotty, Peyton, Terah, Aubrey, Jack, Kade & Daniel; sister, Nancy (George) Michaels; as well as a host of friends & family who referred to her as ""Mom."" Services for Karen will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Horan & McConaty Chapel (11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014) with a public viewing one hour prior and a reception following on the premises.
