Karen Mudron

Karen Mudron of Franktown, Colorado passed away on July 4, 2022 of Multiple Myeloma surrounded by her loving family.

Karen was born on February 14, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents Marshall and Emily Johnson and her brother Charles Johnson. She is survived by her husband Larry Mudron and sons David (Christine) Mudron and Mark (Amanda) Mudron as well as three grandchildren, Xander, Kyler and Jaisa Mudron and brother Rick (Diane) Johnson.

Karen majored in English and earned her Associates Degree from Bloom Community College in Chicago Heights, Illinois.  She also attended Mundelein College in Chicago and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

Karen worked for a number of years in the Aurora Public Schools and then Douglas County Schools as a volunteer and Paraprofessional. She retired in 2008 from Castle Rock Elementary.

Karen was a very loving, giving and caring soul. Other people speak of her having enriched their lives. She was such a blessing to all and made a beautiful impact to this world. She LOVED visiting with family and friends, swimming, volleyball, racquetball, road trips/travel, animals (especially her grand-dogs Cooper and Starr), and digital scrapbooking. She was a true fighter against her illness and was everyone’s hero for how she handled herself. She ALWAYS had a positive outlook, full of laughter, and had a BIG smile on her face! She will be greatly missed by us all.

Services will be held on Monday, July 25th at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 2746 Fifth Street, Castle Rock, Colorado, 80104.

Memorial Funeral Mass                          10:00-11:00

Luncheon                                                11:15-1:30
