Karen Turner will be remembered as a mentor to many. An amazing cook. A bird watcher. A lover of all people. A friend to anyone. Her passion for others was second to none! We are all in shock and have a huge hole as this woman's life filled such a gigantic space. We stand united as one with the family and mourn the loss of her earthly presence knowing that we will rejoice as she is at peace in Heaven. As you all know, Karen lived simply. She would be the first to give the shirt off her back or lend you her last few bucks. This memorial fund is going directly to the Turner family to help pay for the unexpected funeral costs and other financial challenges the family may face during this time. Karen was born in Boston, however, her parents; Helen Loretta Cox and James Leslie Cox chose to moved their children to Texas when she was 2. Karen was preceded in death by both of her parents, James Leslie Cox and Helen Loretta Cox and her sister, Kathy Lenore Faulks. She is survived by: Her husband, soulmate, & best friend Richard James Turner, her children and their spouses, Leslie Ann Webb, Clayton Cody & Annie Turner, Bumper Turner, Hollie & Trey Burns and Mary Kennemur. Her siblings, Ann Marie Cox Boden, James Cox, and JudyBug Cox. K.C. also loved her ""in law siblings"": David & Sherry Turner, Steve Turner, and Wesley Turner. Grandma loved each and everyone of her 10 grandchildren, Taylor Turner, Megan Webb, Michael Turner Jr., Tessa Webb, Harley Turner, James Turner, Cori Turner, Eli Riley, Toni Ackerman, & Skydon Carrasco. Aunt Karen had many, many nieces & nephews, Tory, Shauna, Duwayna Kay, Amanda, Crystal, Jamie, Tina, Deanna, Michael B., Brandi, Travis, Kevin, Michael, Stephanie, Misty Dawn, Christy, Greg, Sharon, Andrea, Ricky, Melissa, Jessica, and Jennifer. Karen, loved and beloved her closest and dearest friends; Mary Orrick Williams, Tommy Humphries, Anne Clare Eady, Dede Flores, and Brenda Turner, just to name a few. Although she only had 4 children and 7 grandchildren SO MANY, MANY more called her Mom / Grandma! Karen also loved all animals. Her beloved four legged children are Zodie (deceased), Roxie, Saydee and Kitty. Karen attended high school at Trimble Tech High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Services to celebrate her life will be held: Thursday, February 9th, 2017 Viewing begins at 12 noon, services to follow.
