Karen Ubowski

We are saddened to announce the passing of Karen Ubowski. Karen passed away at the age of 58 on Saturday in Denver, where she grew up before going to Cornell College and living in New Jersey, Spain, and California.
She was deeply loved by those around her and will be intensely missed. Karen was a lifelong teacher, helping others was her purpose in life. For 21 years, she taught math and Spanish and touched the lives of thousands of her students of all ages. She enjoyed playing cards and board games along with golf and tennis with friends and family.
Karen is survived by her three children, Daniel, Marcos and Nico Carballal; brothers Ron and Chet; sister Diane.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Khan Academy in honor of her love for teaching.
Funeral Mass, Monday, August 22, 2022, 10:30 am, St. Frances Cabrini parish in Littleton, Colorado. Interment will be Tuesday, August 23, at 9:30 am, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
