Katherine Bates

Katherine "Kathy" Rose Bates, was born September 17, 1943 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was the Second Daughter of four, born to Wilma and Harold Brewington. Kathy Met her husband Bill almost literally at birth. They were married, July 27, 1962, this month would be there 45th Wedding anniversary. Bill and Kathy had Two beautiful Children, Carrie Jean (Keith Alex) and William "Billy" Harold. Kathy was Also blessed with Two Grandchildren, Kristin Nicole and Karli Ann. Kathy will always be remembered by the joy and pure kindness she brought to everyone she met by simply saying hello to a stranger to brighten their day or helping someone who needed asstiance, she never let her personal life struggles get in the way of helping those in need. Kathy Was always trying to make a new path somewhere and enjoyed every simple moment in life never passing up a moment to jump in a puddle of mud or stop and feed the ducks in a pond. Kathy Found God not just in the spritual settings of church but in the nature and spirits of others that surronded her. she saw God's Fingerprints when holding a small child's hand in her own. She knew God's strength when people can rage agaisnt what is happening to them, flounder with indecision, but still persevere through life's trials and tribulations without losing their love for others. Kathy's family hopes that after all the years she brought her kindness and geneoursity to others that she feels the joy, and love radiating from all those who she loved and who love her and that she continues watch over their lives and see the best parts of herself in all those she cared for and helped to mold. Kathy was a daughter, mother, and grandmother and wonderful friend who will be greatly missed. A celebration of Kathy's life will be Held in the Horan & McConaty family chapel, On Tuesday July 24, 2007, at Two O'clock in the Afternoon with a Reception to follow the service at Horan & McConaty's Heartlight Center.
