Katherine Knight

On Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021, Katherine J.  (McCarthy) Knight, loving wife, and mother of four children, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 90. Katherine was born on March 19th, 1931, in New York City, New York to John and Laura (Cuff) McCarthy.

On September 24th, 1955 she married Thomas Knight. They raised one son, Kevin, and three daughters, Kathy, Karen, and Kristine, in New York before moving to Colorado in 1971. Katherine was very active within her Church, belonging to the Rosary Committee, the cleaning of the Alb’s, coffee and donuts after Sunday mass, and many more activities. Katherine was known for her infectious laugh and her kind, compassionate and loving spirit.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, John, mother Laura, brother Johnny, husband Thomas and daughter Kathy.   She is survived by her children, Kevin (Ruth) Knight, Karen Knight, and Kristine (Michael) Farley. Grandchildren, Shannon (Erik) Geiger, Michelle (Troy) Elliott, Margaret (Luke) Dunnington, Alyssa and Morgan Farley. Great grandchildren, Ariana and Lexie Elliott, Kiera Geiger, and Ashlyn Dunnington. Her sister Lorretta Vaughan, and several nieces and nephews.
