Katherine "Kathy" Schymanski

Katherine “Kathy” Schymanski Hackbarth 83 of Aurora, CO passed away peacefully at Garden Plaza of Aurora on November 16, 2022.

She was born to Leo and Eleanor (Schubring) Hackbarth on August 6, 1939, Wausau, WI.  She is survived by her husband Thomas M Schymanski, they were married for 62 years, one daughter Michele (Brian) Schymanski Stockman of Parker, CO, one son Mark (Madeline) Schymanski of Evergreen, CO, one granddaughter Amanda (Chris) Stockman Houser, grandsons, Jared Schymanski, Cole Schymanski, Andy (Erin) Stockman, Adam (Megan) Stockman, one great granddaughter, Ida Stockman.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Hackbarth.

Kathy was a stay-at- home mom who enjoyed playing bridge, was an active volunteer within the churches they attended, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.    After the children had grown, Kathy found passion in the banking industry and worked for several banks throughout the Midwest.  She and Tom retired to Arizona and lived there until their recent move to Colorado in 2021.

There will be a private family Celebration of Life along with burial at Mechanic Ridge Cemetery (WI), date to-be-determined.
