Kathie Jo Aden

Kathie Jo Aden, 65, of Hudson, Colorado left her earthly pilgrimage to eternal fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ on October 30, 2015. Kathie was born in Longview, Washington on April 8, 1950 to Clinton C. Edgar and Mavis K. (Waite) Edgar. As a small child, the family moved to Colorado where they lived in various locations in the Denver metro area until settling in Northglenn, Colo. in the early 1960's where Kathie attended school and graduated from Northglenn High School in 1968. Her great adventures began on June 7, 1969 when she married Charles L. Aden and they built a rich life together in Colorado and Wyoming. Their greatest joy was their two children, Mark and Denise born in the mid 1970's. Kathie briefly worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. until her husband completed his undergraduate degree when they moved to Chugwater, Wyoming and worked for Warner Ranches on the Double L west of Chugwater. Kathie began with enthusiasm to develop her awesome careers of cooking, canning, sewing, gardening, motherhood along with many outdoor skills of camping, fishing, hiking and processing game for the family in Wyoming then continued when they moved back to Colorado. She and the family traveled extensively by car, ship and private aircraft across the U.S. with trips to Mexico, Canada and Alaska. In 2001 they moved their small custom beef operation from Henderson, Colo. to Hudson, Colo. and expanded the operation now named Coyote Hill Land & Cattle. Kathie embraced and dearly loved the rural life as she partnered with her husband. Although her life was shortened by a two year battle with cancer, she lived a full and engaging life. Her life was an excellent example of the description of an honorable wife in Proverbs 31: 10-31, with the value of an honorable role as summarized by what Solomon recorded in Proverbs 12:4a. Kathie is survived by her husband of 46 ½ years, Charles, her children Mark L. & (Staci) Aden of Brighton, (Sean) & Denise R. Davis of Broomfield, Colo., her mother Mavis K. Edgar and sister (Ron) & Linda Lewis of Fort Collins , Colo., her sister (Bradley) & Kim Cramer of Houston, Texas, her brother Randy & (Gloria) Edgar of Golden, Colo., her loved grandchildren Hallie & Audrey Davis, Kaleb & Jacob Aden, her mother-in-law Carrie L. Aden of Brighton, Colo. Kathie was preceded in death by her father, Clinton C. Edgar, grandparents Wayland & Mary Waite, Claude & Ida Edgar and infant granddaughters Jillian & Sarah Aden and infant grandson Noah Aden and father-in-law Everett L. Aden. In Memory of Kathie, memorial donations are being suggested to Family Bible Fellowship, 9992 S. 4th Ave Ste. 100-111, Brighton, CO 80601. Private memorial and cremation services were provided by Horan & McConaty Thornton location. The memorial service was organized and conducted on November 9, 2015 by Pastor Ron Martin, Mark & Staci Aden and Sean & Denise Davis.
