Kathleen Beckett

Kathleen Marie Beckett, 80, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2022.

She was born to parents Elmer and Eileen Fordon in Chicago, Illinois in 1942. Kathy graduated from Academy of Our Lady in Chicago and then went on to Loretto Heights College in Denver.

She was married to Robert (Bob) E Beckett from June 26, 1965 until December 27, 2005 when he passed. She later married Ron Trapani on September 5, 2009.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ron, her brother, Jack, and sister Marianne along with her children, Michele, Molly, Marie ( Paul ), and Bryan. She has 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She is also survived by Ron’s seven daughters and their families as well as many lifelong cherished friends.

Kathy was well known for her magical fingers and musical ear, as she was an accomplished pianist.  She spent many years teaching adults and children the piano and would have frequent recitals for their families. Kathy taught  2nd Grade prior to raising her own family in which she was so very proud. Her melody and piano playing were the centerpiece of Christmas as family members gathered to sing around the piano. A memory forever cherished.

Celebration of life will be held December 29, 2022 . Rosary begins at 10:30am with the Mass of Resurrection at 11am at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, 18000 Arapahoe Rd, Aurora, 80016.

The family requests donations be made to Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, in lieu of sending flowers.

Perhaps most fitting would be to share a smile, hug, memory or an act of kindness.  You are so loved Mom.
