Kathy died very unexpectedly after a short illness.
Kathy was born in Chicago where her father was in school after returning From WWII. After his schooling the family returned to West St. Paul, Minnesota, where Kathy was raised. Kathy graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1965.
Two years later Kathy went to visit her lifelong friend Maureen in southern California where she met her first husband George Morris "Butch". After Butch's discharge from the navy they moved to his hometown of Golden, Colorado. They Divorced in 1978. That same year Kathy met her current husband Terry Rice while visiting friends in Grand Lake. Terry and Kathy were married in 1979. They moved into their forever home in what is now Centennial, where Kathy began her 43-year career in interior design. Starting small with just selling window coverings she grew her home business (KR Designs) into doing full kitchen, bath and home remodeling. Kathy had the special ability to guide her clients into their own personal style of design. Kathy had many lifelong clients who continued to use her services for second, third and even fourth homes.
Family was most important to Kathy, she looked forward to and fully enjoyed celebrations of birthdays, anniversaries and most of all - Christmas. The local Hallmark card shop greatly anticipated her monthly visits!
Kathy had a very vivacious personality, everyone she would meet was a new friend. Kathy maintained many lifelong relationships with friends from grade school and high school.
Kathy is survived by her husband Terry, Her daughter Christy Morris (Katie Eastwood); sons, Chad Morris (Cindy), Pat Puhalla (Marnique) and Paul Fournier
(Seri Johnson); sisters Cheryl Witham (Kerry), Lynda Lacher (Jeff), Laura Little (Randy), and brother Denny Jarosch (Karen Flaten); 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. And last but not least, her much beloved and constant companion Remy, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on January 10th from 2-6pm at the family home
