Kathleen Kerrigan Mauser

Kathleen (nee Kerrigan) Mauser passed away peacefully in her home on March 10, 2018 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, William M. Mauser. Kathleen was born in Cleveland Ohio on February 19, 1929 and was the third of four girls. She married in 1948 and raised her seven children while living in several different cities including Cleveland OH, Tucson AZ, Albuquerque NM and Denver CO. She worked for Mountain Bell for 15 years in Denver before retiring to spend more time with her husband. They lived in Windsor Gardens for 31 years where they were active in the community. Kathleen was an active member of the Writers Group and past activities included walking, swimming, playing pool, belly-dancing and attending the local theatre performances at Windsor. In later years, Kathleen studied Spanish and made trips to Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, China, Ireland, Italy, Slovenia, and Austria. She was a good, supportive friend to many and will be missed by all. Kathleen is survived by her seven children: Michael (Helen Hankins), Maureen (Dan) Kelly, Margaret (Karl) Wilson, Joseph (Melissa) Mauser, Dolores (Lorenzo) Chavez, Bill (Pat) Mauser, Frank (Deanne) Mauser. Kathleen also had ten grandchildren: Evelyn (Sam) Black, Vincent Kelly, Oliva Mauser, Ava Mauser, Corey (Marisa) Chavez, Derek (Shelby) Chavez, Emily Mauser, Matthew Mauser, Austin Mauser and Lexie Mauser. Kathleen’s life will be celebrated with a Catholic Mass Friday 3/16/2018 11:00 am at Horan McConaty Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (at S. Parker Road) followed by reception with lunch at Heartlight Center http://www.heartlightcenter.org at same location. Memorial donations can be made to Rocky Mountain PBS.
