Kathleen Ruth Vigil

November 22, 1946 ~ December 8, 2020

Kathy Vigil of Lakewood, Colorado passed away and went to be with our Lord on December 8, 2020, ending a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was a fiercely loving mother to her three children and one grandson, as well as a faithful, devoted wife.  She was lovingly known as “Mama V” to all who entered the Vigil family home.

Kathy was born in Denver to Crandall and Isabell Hackworth.  She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Donald and Edward, as well as her parents.

Kathy spent the majority of her working years in various prominent printing companies throughout the Denver area.  She was a highly respected administrator in Denver’s printing industry throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s.

She met her husband Ray Vigil at a very early age in 1961 and they were married on August 31, 1962.  They were married for 58 years until her passing on December 8th, 2020.

An extremely devout Christian with unwavering faith, Kathy attended Faith Bible Chapel with her family until she was no longer able to.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Mary, Ray (Lisa) and Gary (Robin) and as well as her beloved grandson, Dante who became the love of her life on May 4, 2007.

A Memorial Service will be held for Kathleen on Friday, December 18th at 11:00 in the morning in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Lakewood, Colorado.
