Kathryn L. Buteau

Kathryn (Kate) L. Buteau, age 78, died at University of Colorado Hospital on October 2nd, 2019. Cause of death was leukemia.

Born January 4th, 1941 in Cheyenne Wyoming, she lived in Cheyenne and worked as a Community College English teacher in Cheyenne until her retirement in 1998. After retirement Kate volunteered at The Davis Hospice Center and the Laramie County Public Library. Kate was a supporter of local arts programs and was an avid world traveler.

Survivors include two sons: Ren, Cheyenne Wyoming and Tommy, Dubai, UAE, daughters-in-law Jessica and Dionne, and grandchildren Lucas, Imani, and Ijaze. Other survivors include two brothers: Pat Crow, Newcastle Wyoming and Bruce Crow, Patterson New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Lois Crow and her husband Hubert.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions may be made in her name to The Wyoming Children's Society.
