We mourn the loss and celebrate the life of Kathryn Ann Conway, the most wonderful and selfless Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Kathy was born on October 19, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, to Garry and Kathryn Costello. Kathy attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School; St. Mary’s High School; and Loretto Heights College. For Kathy, education was her passion as she helped improve the lives and futures of thousands of young students and their families, teaching in the Denver Public School System for close to 40 years.
Kathy married Daniel Martin Conway of Janesville, Wisconsin, on June 26, 1971, at St. Vincent de Paul Church. The two of them were a match made in Heaven as they enjoyed working tirelessly to provide a great life for their family; traveling; playing golf; and spending time with family and dear friends. Kathy’s pride and joy were her 3 children – Bryan (Hillary); Michael (Leslie); and Katie (Clark) Credle and 8 grandchildren – Jack, Kendall, Kaitlyn, Alice Rose, Claire, Mae, James and Pearl. Kathy was a loving light always putting others before herself. She attended Mass every day and prayed constantly for her family and close friends. She played a significant role in helping nurture and raise all of her Grandchildren. Kathy and Dan could always be found on the sidelines at a sporting event cheering on their family. Kathy always enjoyed a good Italian meal, playing Bridge with her friends, and her investment club. In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Kathy is survived by her two sisters, Rosemary (Michael) Barlow and Nancy Costello; sisters-in-law, Cathleen (David) Steel, Mary (Ken) Baldwin, and Joan Costello; brothers-in-law, Robert Baker and John (Sally) Conway. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Costello; sister-in-law, Ellen Baker; and brother-in-law, James Conway.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 11:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that any charitable donations be made to Craig Hospital Foundation, 3425 S. Clarkson St., Englewood, CO, 80113
