Kathryn 'Kathy' McCleery

Kathryn ""Kathy"" McCleery, 71 years of age, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on October 17, 2012. Kathy was born in Beatrice, Nebraska. Her parents are the former Daniel P. McCleery, MD, and Nellie (Reavis) McCleery who were both longtime residents of Beatrice. Kathy made her home in Aurora, Colorado from 1966 to present and was employed at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center until 1995. She was most recently employed at the VA Hospital in Denver where she worked in prosthetics, speech and audiology up to the time of her death. She also enjoyed doing many walks and was active in the Rocky Mountain Wanderers. She was a 50-year member of P.E.O. Chapter FI in Denver, Colorado. Kathy enjoyed life to the fullest. She kept busy doing hobbies like playing bridge, walking and other activities with her many friends. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne McCleery. A visitation for Kathy will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1 Del Mar Circle, Aurora, Colorado. Interment will occur in Falls City, Nebraska.
