Kathyleen M Roberts

Kathyleen M. Roberts May 1, 1923 – May 20, 2015 Kathyleen M. Rourke died after a long battle with Alzheimers on May 20, 2015. She was 92 years old. Kathyleen was born May 1, 1923, to John J. Rourke and Loretta J. Edwards Rourke on the North side of Broken Bow, Nebraska. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers John and Eugene and four sisters Celestine Chapin, Bernice Welch, Mary Alyce Tierney and Cecelia Brownell. Kathyleen is survived by sisters Veronica Neiswanger, Janice Lehman and her four children Sue Lake (Joe), Sandy Roberts, Monica Abelein (Greg), George Roberts (Peggy), grandchildren Courtney Downey (Padraic), Andy Lake (Tierney), Dan Abelein (Karrie), Tanner Abelein, and great grandchildren Charlee, Colson, Olivia and Adalyn. Kathyleen lived a very active life enjoying her family and large circle of friends. Kathyleen retired from the Denver Public Schools after 25 years. In 1982 she moved to Heather Gardens and found herself in midst of a whole new world of friendships, frequently playing golf and bridge and traveling as often as she could. Services will be held on June 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6853 S Prince St., Littleton, CO, 11:00 a.m. Lunch at the church will follow the service.
