January 21, 1947 — September 12, 2015

Kay Francis Harris Cromwell, 68, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away suddenly September 12, 2015. She was born January 21, 1947, in Panama City, Florida to Harry Wayne and Lillie Ruth Moore Harris. Kay graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Education, followed by years as an elementary teacher in Georgia and Texas. Upon moving to Colorado, she worked as a paralegal and then in an administrative capacity for several local schools. Kay spent most of her life giving tirelessly to her true passion: education. After Kay retired, she traveled quite frequently with her partner Gary, including trips to the Northeast United States and abroad. Kay always had a passion for crafting, playing games, and decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. She was dedicated to making any and all family occasions special with her personal touches. Kay was a people person who always looked forward to spending time with family, especially her grandkids. She was a stranger to no one and a mother to everyone. Kay is survived by her loving family: her brother, Robert Harris; daughters, Amy Cromwell and Emily Parsley; sons-in-law, Brandon Griffin and Bill Parsley; two grandchildren, Owen and Abigail Parsley; and partner Gary Julian. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Kathryn Rigney, Patsy Sheldon and Janet Harris.
