Kay Hannon

October 16, 1939 — August 7, 2015

Kathryn ""Kay"" L. Hannon, 75, died on August 7, 2015. Born in Rockford, Illinois on October 16, 1939 and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she attended high school and graduated from Marquette University. There she met the love of her life, Gerald J. Hannon, and they were married in 1961. Kay went on to dental hygienist school and worked in that profession for many years. Kay and Jerry loved Colorado and were thrilled when HUD moved them there. Their love for Colorado had them enjoying the mountains eventually buying a place in Keystone where they skied, golfed, hiked & camped creating many memories for her kids and grandkids. They also had an amazing group of friends that enjoyed Bronco games, milestone birthdays, holidays, The annual H&S Golf tournament and frequent visits to the Baby Doll Lounge. When they were faced with a transfer to GA they decided to stay in this place they loved and open their own company. They successfully ran, BTM, Inc. until after Jerry's passing. Also following Jerry's passing Kay moved into Heritage Eagle Bend. She was involved in many communities including: Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish, Bocce, Bunco, Poker, Monkey Party's, volunteering, bingo and many groups including bridge, movies, dinner, Broncos & travel. HEB allowed her to meet many new friends and cherish her old friends that also relocated to HEB. Survivors include brother Robert Graeff (Mary Ellen) of Brookfield, WI, sons Tim (Chris, and sons Bross & Theo) of Silverthorne, CO, Bob (Beth, and daughters Taylor & Kaile) of Alpharetta, GA, and daughter Michelle Gayle (Chris, and children Tyler & LiLi), of Aurora, CO. Preceded in death by husband Gerald J., and parents Maynard and Gertrude Graeff. Services will be held at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish in Aurora, Colorado on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10 AM with a reception following the mass and burial at Fairmount Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. A visitation to be held at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (at Parker Road) in Aurora, Colorado on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 5-6PM visitation & 6-7PM rosary & service. elatives and friends are welcome to join Kay's family for the above celebrations of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Kay's name to either Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish, or the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Colorado at 50 S.
