Kay Heck

Karen ""Kay"" Heck, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died at her home on February 5, 2019. Born on September 16, 1946 in Alton, Illinois she lived in many places, Kansas, Germany, Hawaii, Maryland and Colorado, while accompanying her husband throughout their journey in the U.S. Air Force.

Kay worked at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center until her retirement from Federal Civil Service in 1999. She was among the last 30 people at Fitzsimons before its final closure. Kay was known for her infectious laugh, sense of humor and kind and compassionate spirit. She enjoyed quilting and traveling with her husband, including 43 cruises!

Survivors include her husband Jerry, Parker, CO, sons Christopher ""Todd,"" Falcon, CO and Michael Ryan (Deb), Greeley, CO and four wonderful grandchildren, Charlie, Kayla, Paige and Chase. Kay was preceded in death by her parents John and Betty Sesock and sister Sharon Norbury.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Horan-McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (at Parker Road), Aurora, CO. Interment will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue, Denver, CO. Relatives and friends are welcome at their home following the interment.
