Keith Barnett

May 3, 1984 — December 10, 2021

Denver, Colorado

Keith Andrew Barnett, age 37, died at the Porter Hospice in Littleton on December 10, 2021. He died of liver cancer that was diagnosed 6 months earlier, in July. He was born in Colorado and lived his whole life here. He attended Douglas County Schools as well as various technical colleges. He obtained several high-level technical certificates from the Cisco organization as well as CompTIA and Microsoft.

Though he was a tech nerd at heart, he loved fantasy and sci-fi books and movies, he was also a dedicated gamer, and an avid foodie. He loved to cook, smoke, and BBQ and was always up for trying a new cuisine. Keith loved the space program from a young age and was a contractor for United Launch Alliance here in Denver for a time. He also witnessed many space launches in Florida. Keith loved dogs and one of his last acts was to adopt a sheltie puppy who will stay with his parents.

He worked as a system engineer for several organizations during the last 10 years of his life. The two most recent being H5 Data Centers and the QRails Payment Processing. He leaves behind many colleagues and friends at those companies. Keith was a fierce and loyal friend, always ready for a road trip down the street or across the country.

Keith will be profoundly missed by his many friends and especially so by his parents Jeff and Cheryl Barnett along with his sister Katy Barnett, bother-in-law Ryan Sims, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family is thankful for all the doctors, nurses and service providers that have provided their support and care to Keith over the last year.

A memorial will be held on Monday January 10, 2022 at 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Horan & McConaty facility at 5303 East County Line Road (West of Holly Street), Centennial, CO 80122.
