Keith Michael Hannon

June 13, 1967 — August 8, 2009

Keith grew up in Hot Sulphur Springs, and was an avid runner and cyclist. He was a 1985 graduate of Middle Park High School, an Eagle Scout, and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, receiving his B.A. in Biology in 1990. In 1994 he completed his D.D.S. degree at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Wanting further education and greater experience prior to entering private practice, Dr. Hannon ecompleted a 1-year General Practice Residency at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital. From there, he followed-up with an additional two years of service in the US Navy's Dental Corps, providing comprehensive dental care to military service members and their families. Lieutenant Commander Hannon left the Navy in 1997, and opened a private practice in Granby with his wife, Tania Florez, D.D.S. In 2008 Keith and Tania moved to Denver and opened the Cherry Creek Family Dental Clinic. Keith was always a strong believer in continuing his education and continued to study extensively. In 2001, his achievements were recognized and he was awarded a Fellowship in the American Academy of General Denistry. In addition to his ongoing dental studies, Dr. Keith also made extensive study of Human Nutrition and Physiology and was a Certified Nutritional Consultant. He had a special interest in assisting those with Gluten Enteropathy/Celiac Disease. Keith was also pursuing further education in holistic healthcare and herbalism, believing that it is important to understand all aspects of healthcare. In addition to his running and cycling endeavours, Keith's interests included: cooking, reading, travel, mycology, tending to his perennial garden, and spending time with his family.
