Keith L. Hartley

Keith was born April 7, 1960 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado to George and Shirley Hartley. Keith passed away on November 2, 2011 at Collier Hospice in Jefferson County. Keith attended Asbury & Lasley Elementary, O'Connell Junior High and graduated from Alameda High in 1978. Keith attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Pheonix, Arizona in the fall of 1978 and received an Associate Degree in Applied Science in 1981 and Bachelor of Science degree in 1982. Keith went to work for Honeywell/Bull Corporation after graduating from DeVry as a test engineer. He lived in Arizona until 1991 when he moved back to Colorado where whe bought a home in Thornton and lived there until his death. He worked for SCTC in Thornton and later for HTM/ONCORE in Longmont. He was an avid reader of science fiction writers. Between 1980 and 1983 he read 244 books from varios writers. He also had a collection of more than 1200 comics. Mostly Spiderman, Superman and Batman. He was also a fan of the Beatles. He had numerous albums and books relating to them. Keith had a passion for cooking. He attended the Cooking School of The Rockies and completed courses in both Basic and Advanced Techniques in 2000. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animation in 2004. Keith received a kidney/pancreas transplant in 1997. His new kidney failed in 2007 resulting in 4 years of dialysis. Keith is survived by his parents Shirley and George and brother Steve.
